Safeguarding Information

Vogal Training have appointed Safeguarding Officers. They are available to talk to on a confidential basis at any time if you have any concerns or issues about your own or anybody’s well-being.

Staff at Vogal Training may have to share information with one or all agencies listed below:-

MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub), Education Authority, Local Authority, Social Services, NHS Domestic Abuse, Police, Fire Service.

If you have any concerns about any of the following areas please speak to the Vogal Training Safeguarding Officer:-

  • Neglect
  • Physical, sexual or emotional abuse
  • Bullying including online bullying and prejudice-based bullying
  • Racist, disability, homophobic or transphobic abuse
  • Gender-based violence, or violence against women and girls
  • Peer-on-peer abuse
  • Radicalisation or extremist behaviour
  • Child sexual exploitation and trafficking
  • Child criminal exploitation and county lines
  • The impact of new technology on sexual behaviour, for example “sexting” and accessing pornography
  • Teenage relationship abuse
  • Substance misuse
  • Issues that may be specific to the local area or population, for example gang activity and youth violence
  • Domestic violence
  • Female genital mutilation
  • Forced marriage
  • Fabricated or induced illness
  • Poor parenting
  • Homelessness
  • So-called honour-based violence
  • Any other issues that pose a risk to young people, learners or vulnerable adults

Remember, if you would prefer you can speak to any member of staff in the knowledge that they are experienced and will have your best interests at heart.
